Inspections des restaurants de la route 1 : des cafards morts ont été trouvés

HYBLA VALLEY, VA – Avec le retour en ligne des rapports d'inspection des restaurants du département de la santé du comté de Fairfax, nous continuons à examiner les rapports dans le couloir de la route 1.

Le personnel de santé environnementale du département de la santé inspecte plus de 5 200 restaurants et autres établissements de restauration au détail dans le comté de Fairfax et les villes de Falls Church et Fairfax pour s'assurer que des pratiques de manipulation sûres des aliments sont suivies. Cela comprend un assainissement adéquat, le stockage et la préparation des aliments et des installations de cuisine adéquates. Outre les restaurants, le personnel inspecte les garderies, les hôpitaux, les cafétérias scolaires et les fournisseurs de services de restauration temporaires lors de festivals. Les résidents peuvent rechercher un restaurant spécifique ou parcourir une carte des lieux inspectés via la base de données en ligne.

Le département de la santé avertit les résidents qu'une seule inspection ne doit pas être utilisée pour évaluer un restaurant. Pieter Sheehan, directeur de la santé environnementale du comté de Fairfax, a déclaré "qu'il est important d'examiner plusieurs rapports d'inspection pour qu'une installation comprenne vraiment son approche et son engagement en matière de sécurité alimentaire et d'assainissement".

Le rapport de cette semaine se concentre sur les restaurants de Hybla Valley, Mount Vernon et Woodlawn en février, mars et avril. L'un des rapports notables concernait des cafards morts trouvés chez Ledo Pizza. Les inspecteurs de la santé ont dit au restaurant d'enlever les insectes morts après le service de lutte antiparasitaire et de fournir une preuve de nettoyage lors d'une inspection de suivi.
